Author Elizabeth Stone said:

“Making the decision to have a child – it is momentous. It is to decide forever to have your heart go walking around outside your body.”

I love words and I use them to make sense of things around me, including my love for my children.

I strongly believe poems should be accessible. I’m not precious about writing but feel a constant need and urge to do it.

I write all sorts, including children’s fiction.

I read English at Goldsmiths College, University of London before going into journalism before moving into specialising in communications and writing for charities.

  1. Hi Sophie. Lovely to meet you. Never went to university but have spent fifty years writing as it is my passion! Worked in the NHS for 45 years in the Operating theatres. Thank you so much for liking my poem “Turmoil!” My thoughts and some fears on a broken and dangerous society! Peace and Best Wishes. #TheFoureyedPoet.
